Union of the Northern and Southern Orders

The Northern Order of Chi Phi Fraternity first learns of the Southern Order of Chi Phi in the winter of 1865 to 1866 from John Shepard. After lengthy correspondence between the two societies, they finally merge on March 27, 1874, to form the modern Chi Phi Fraternity.
